We are looking for a proactive individual with an appetite to learn and grow within our Strategic and Corporate Development team.

Tasks/missions

As a Junior Analyst in the Strategic and Corporate Development team (S&CD) you will contribute to the strategic thinking behind key decisions and discussions around LuxSE’s overall strategy. As a member of a small team, you will be fully involved in all activities from day one and quickly have different responsibilities subject to the projects you may be involved in. Every day will bring a new and different challenge.

You can expect to develop advanced problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and a deeper understanding of the financial market infrastructure landscape as well as the broader financial services industry.

Your tasks typically, include:

  • Analyse business plans and conduct research and valuation on potential acquisition targets and support the S&CD team in monitoring the existing investment portfolio;
  • Prepare presentations and supplementary materials for LuxSE’s senior management and conduct analyses to support the development and execution of the company’s overall strategy;
  • Research and evaluate market trends, competitive benchmarking, emerging challenges/ opportunities to form strategic insights and potential implications for LuxSE;
  • Partner with colleagues from various business units to develop and deliver new business, product ideas and initiatives;
  • Help formulate M&A and divestiture strategies incl. identification and prioritization of M&A targets, as well as due diligence processes.
Profile
  • Master’s degree in any pertinent field (e.g.: business, finance, …);
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience (incl. internships) in strategy and management consulting companies, in-house strategy teams, Private Equity firms, M&A advisory boutiques, or investment banking;
  • Knowledge in market analysis, business case development and financial modelling, M&A and corporate strategy formulation, target screening, commercial and operations due diligence;
  • An analytical mindset, a positive can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task while clearly communicating both verbally and in writing, and very good knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel as well as proficiency in English are also required.
